|Tell us about yourself and your business.
My name is Corrie and I have been in business for almost 2 years now. I am self taught and focus on high school seniors exclusively. I use my home office for client meetings and sales, and my studio is the great outdoors! Slowly I am learning off camera lighting, but am always going to be in love with natural light. I love meeting all these amazing young people about to embark on the next phase of life. My vision for my business is growth–each year more clients, more education for myself as a photographer, great numbers of spokesmodels, etc! Always moving forward and keeping true to myself!
|What is in your gear bag?
Nikon D750, Nikon 85 mm 1.8 (my baby!), Sigma 24-70 mm 2.8, Sigma 35 mm 1.4, SB910 Speed light, large rectangle reflector (silver side, please!)
|Where do you draw inspiration from?
I am truly inspired by my clients personalities. They are all so different! I do my best to create images that reflect who they are, but I also love allowing them to step out of their comfort zone to get unique pictures that they will always remember. I also am inspired by the many wonderful photographers I have met along my journey.
|What is one obstacle you had when you first started your business? What did you do to overcome it?
Your hardest obstacle can be yourself! Telling yourself you CAN’T do something is the surest way to limit yourself. I started in a LOW price point. Then one day I woke up and told myself that I’m worth it. Worth every penny a client will pay me! So I restructured and never looked back.
|Please share one tip that you found to be successful to share with other photographers.
Have a goal in mind for your business and make that plan to get there! I’m still fairly new in this business and am still on that path to achieve what I am certain of is possible!
